Hi all
I walked from Martin Road to the causeway in search of Tufted Duck (lifer) and the Black Scoter. Ran into one birder along the journey, he reported he could not find. I can understand why, there are a “billion” ducks on the lake. I saw Mallard, Redhead, Common Merganser and Goldeneye, Canada Goose and Lesser Scaup (90% of the “billion” :-). The huge rafts of ducks were out in the middle of the lake west of the fishing parking lot near end of trail. Other birds include Northern Cardinal, Red-bellied, Downy and Hairy Woodpecker, American Robin, Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Dark-eyed Junco and Bald Eagle observing the “brunch menu” in the water.
Thanks
